How to Care for It

Plant in full sun in deep, well-drained soil; mangoes dislike waterlogging. Water regularly while young. Once established, ease off watering for a couple of months before flowering, since a dry spell triggers bloom, then water while fruit develop. Feed after harvest and before flowering with a fruit-tree fertiliser low in nitrogen. Protect young trees from frost. Prune right after harvest to keep the canopy low and airy.

The backbone of a tropical orchard. Mangoes, Booth 8 avocado, red mamey, chicozapote, carambola, dwarf coconuts, jackfruit and dragon fruit: reliable, productive trees that thrive in Mexico's warm lowlands and coasts, grown on our farms and shipped by DHL.
