Pack & ship
We prepare each plant for the trip: rhizomes protected and bare-root, potted plants secured in their pots.
- 04
Unbox & plant
Open the box as soon as it arrives, water, keep it in bright shade for a few days, then plant it out.
When your plants arrive
- Open the box straight away and remove the packing carefully.
- Water potted plants thoroughly. Soak bare-root rhizomes in water for 30–60 minutes before planting.
- Keep plants in bright shade for 3–7 days so they recover from the trip before full sun.
- Plant rhizomes just below the surface in free-draining soil and keep them lightly moist until shoots appear.
- Some leaf yellowing or drop after shipping is normal; new growth usually follows within a few weeks.

Do you grow the plants yourselves?
Yes. We are growers, not resellers: every plant comes from our own farms in Yucatán and Chiapas.

How are live plants shipped?
Each plant is packed for the trip and sent by DHL. Rhizomes travel bare-root and well protected; potted plants travel in their pots. Open the box as soon as it arrives and follow the care guide we include.
What is a rhizome, and why is it cheaper?
Bananas, heliconias and gingers grow from rhizomes (underground stems). A rhizome is the most affordable way to start: plant it and it sprouts in a few weeks. Young and established plants cost more because they have more growing time behind them.
Can I ship citrus or banana plants to any state?
Some plant movements in Mexico are regulated for plant-health reasons. Tell us your state when you order and we'll confirm what we can send there.
