How to Care for It

Plant in full sun in deep, well-drained soil. Water regularly while young; once established, reduce watering in the months before flowering, as a dry spell encourages bloom, then water during fruit development. Feed with a fruit-tree fertiliser after harvest and before flowering, avoiding excess nitrogen. Protect young trees from frost. Prune after harvest to keep the tree low and open.

The backbone of a tropical orchard. Mangoes, Booth 8 avocado, red mamey, chicozapote, carambola, dwarf coconuts, jackfruit and dragon fruit: reliable, productive trees that thrive in Mexico's warm lowlands and coasts, grown on our farms and shipped by DHL.
