-10%Araza Guava Plant (Guayaba Arazá)
Eugenia stipitata
Araza is an Amazonian relative of guava that grows as a small, bushy tree with soft, velvety leaves. Its round, golden-yellow fruit have thin skin and very juicy, intensely aromatic flesh that is too sour to enjoy straight from the tree, but superb in juices, aguas frescas, ice cream, jams and sauces. Plants start fruiting young and can bear several crops a year in warm, humid conditions. Its modest size makes it a good choice for small gardens, patios or a large pot. Grown on our farms in Yucatán and Chiapas and shipped via DHL.

How to Care for It
Grow in full sun or light shade in fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Keep it evenly moist and never let it dry out completely; mulch helps. Feed every two months in the warm season with balanced fertiliser or compost. It is frost-tender, so protect it below about 2 °C or move pots indoors. Shelter from drying winds and prune lightly to keep a bushy, productive shape.
Grow fruit most people have never tasted. Our exotic fruit trees, from Monthong durian and Emperor lychee to jaboticaba, achachairú and red finger lime, are raised on our farms in Yucatán and Chiapas and shipped by DHL across Mexico. Most love heat and humidity; several do beautifully in large pots.
