Its leaves are streaked in green, cream and white, and the variegation flushes pink, especially on the stems and midribs, as the plant matures, so each new leaf is a surprise. How to Care for It

To plant a rhizome, use a pot of airy, well-drained mix with the top of the corm at soil level; water once, then keep it just moist and warm until leaves unfold. Variegated bananas grow slower and are more delicate than green ones: give bright, filtered light, protection from wind and harsh sun, steady moisture without soggy soil, and a balanced fertiliser every few weeks. Keep it above 10 °C.

From statement ornamentals like variegated Musa, Siam Ruby and the blood banana to fruiting red, apple and Cavendish bananas. Every variety comes in three sizes: a rhizome (the most affordable way to start), a young plant, or an established plant for instant impact.
